Alliance Action Sports Experts, a firm from Austria that built over 200 pump tracks in Europe, is nearly finished constructing its first U.S. pump track at Pedro 'Pete' Benavides Park just east of Brownsville.

The 492-foot asphalt track with solar-powered lights is part of park improvements that include new mountain bike trails and was funded with $424,000 in federal money (American Rescue Plan Act).
