- ➤ Oliveira Park will get nearly $2 million in upgrades with new bleachers, restrooms, a fitness center and a splash pad planned to finish in six weeks while the splash pad project continues into summer 2026. The park will remain partly open during these improvements as city officials respond to strong community demand. KRGV
- ➤ I-LinCP RGV Chapter hosted a network luncheon at Embassy Suites in McAllen for its Foundations for Tomorrow event, where chapter president Brian Godinez & moderator Sergio Sanchez discussed regional infrastructure demand; the RGG Business Journal later featured interviews from the panel. - ➤ South Texas College hosted its annual Workforce Summit on Nov. 2001 at the Student Union Building on the Pecan Campus in McAllen. The event focused on AI's role in workforce education, innovation, and apprenticeships, and featured a panel discussion led by Dr. Anahid Petrosian. Rio Grande Guardian
