GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Today at 9:00 a.m., Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr. ordered the reopening of Beach Access 4, Beach Access 5—E.K. Atwood Park, Beach Access 6 and Boca Chica Beach after these areas were closed from October 29 at 7:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. for safety due to high tides, and South Padre Island beaches like Isla Blanca Park remain open. - ➤ Brownsville held a groundbreaking on Oct. 27 for the new Embassy Suites by Hilton Hotel on 3301 Pablo Kisel Blvd and Springmart Boulevard—expected to be 95 feet tall with 170 rooms and the city’s tallest hotel.
