- ➤ On October 29th at 7:30 a.m.—Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño, Jr. ordered the temporary closure of Boca Chica Beach and nearby access areas due to high tides caused by strong surf conditions. Access areas like Isla Blanca Park remained open until further notice. Cameron County
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ A Brownsville mother lost her 10-year-old son, Hiram Gomez, on Monday at around 3 a.m. after he underwent three open-heart surgeries for a congenital heart defect—he was born with half a heart—and she now struggles to pay for his funeral using community donations to bring his body back to the Rio Grande Valley.
