EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Brownsville ISD’s attendance task force raised student attendance to 94% from 91% last school year, which is expected to yield between $3m and $5m in funding after a $4m loss. The task force, which includes fifth grader Alaska Bermudez and coordinates with counseling staff to address issues like bullying and fatigue—aims to boost attendance by 2 to 3% this school year.
