- ➤ On Oct. 8, a Weslaco teen, Juan Mendoza, helped rescue an elderly couple trapped in their car after a crash on Interstate 2 near Border Avenue by calling 911 and pulling them to safety—he said his actions were driven by instinct. KRGV
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ SpaceX launched its 11th test flight of the Starship rocket Monday from South Texas (the 403-foot vehicle lifted off) and its booster made a controlled landing in the Gulf of Mexico. The spacecraft skimmed space before descending toward the Indian Ocean (a test for future Mars trips) as the company refines its reusable system. KRGV
- ➤ SpaceX will launch its 11th Starship test flight today at 6:15 p.m. from the Starbase facility— the flight will test payload release, engine relight and a new landing burn configuration while weather stays 80-percent favorable— a company statement said yesterday. KURV
