- ➤ Today, BCIC President and CEO Cori Peña announced the new 2025-2029 Strategic Plan — a set of goals shaped by community input to improve downtown spaces, boost local business opportunities, and upgrade public areas in Brownsville. CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Brownsville arts leader Diane Milliken Garza said the Texas Commission on the Arts will visit the city on (August 26 and 27) to inspect historic downtown and explore plans to designate Brownsville as a Cultural District. The visit is expected to boost local art grants and cultural tourism (a benefit that will help sustain the region). Rio Grande Guardian
