- ➤ On Tuesday early morning, the Harlingen Fire Department responded at 5:11 a.m. to a fire at Johnny’s True Value on West Tyler Ave that resulted in a total loss as multiple agencies—including Brownsville FD—assisted while investigators, led by Fire Marshal Juan Sauceda, continue gathering data on the cause. - ➤ On July 23rd, ICE arrested 14 undocumented migrants at a Brownsville worksite during a targeted enforcement op — all are pending removal, according to Homeland Security Investigations San Antonio. KRGV
- ➤ Brownsville Police Department is searching for a man linked to multiple vehicle thefts on Austin Road+ anyone with information may call Brownsville Crime Stoppers at 956-546-8477 for a cash reward. KRGV

- ➤ The Gladys Porter Zoo is celebrating National Kids Day today in its 21st Annual Kids Appreciation Day—children will use passports to visit activity stations focused on health and conservation, and the first 1,500 will receive backpacks with school supplies while entering a raffle for bicycles, gift cards and more—promising a fun day for families.
