- ➤ Brownsville will honor 21-year-old sailor Angelina Resendiz—found lifeless in a wooded area in Norfolk, Virginia—with a public funeral on next Friday at 5:30 p.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a candlelight vigil at 7:15 p.m., as the Navy reports another sailor is in custody while the investigation continues. ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Commissioner Ernesto Gutierrez said that the Port of Brownsville is drawing billions in private investments that will create new jobs and build key facilities—such as Forza Steel’s $85 million plant adding over 600 jobs, Ternium’s $200 million marine terminal, and Texas cement’s $42 million project.
