  • Noncitizen truck drivers in Texas lost their commercial licenses following a state policy change last December, leaving many with reduced incomes and prompting a switch to alternative work. EDUCATION NEWS

  • UTRGV announced that from this fall it will offer full mechanical and civil engineering programs in Brownsville, adding third-year courses in Fall 2026 and fourth-year courses in Fall 2027. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Brownsville Public Utilities Board customers on the west side may face brief service interruptions today as AEP Texas repairs transmission lines after the recent storm. Crews (actively) monitor the situation to minimize delays.  KRGV
