- ➤ City leaders approved $200,000 in mosquito control funding on Tuesday, April 21 to combat rising mosquito threats. The funding also supported a tracking app (Brownsville Mosquito Notices) so residents could report standing water, track treatments, and get spray notifications. KRGV
- ➤ Palmview Police Department will upgrade to a cloud-based computer-aided dispatch system that sends alerts directly to patrol cars + ensures connectivity during emergencies. City leaders approved the plan, with the system expected to be in use in three to five months for an annual cost of over $34,000. KRGV
