- ➤ In the Port of Brownsville business park, Westa Inc. is finalizing plans for a $20 million building that will house a flour mill and sunflower seed plant for 120 workers—using barge deliveries to improve its supply chain. Ternium will invest $200 million to build a 180-acre marine terminal and electric steel plant that will boost the port’s metal throughput to over 9 million tons a year—helping the area meet USMCA standards.
