- ➤ On Sunday, 43-year-old Hidalgo County Precinct 4 employee Jorge Enrique Saldana-Gonzalez was arrested in Edinburg at 4 a.m. in connection with a shooting at Sandra's Bar in Alamo that killed a woman—he confessed to the crime and now faces a first degree felony murder charge while police continue to investigate. - ➤ A Hidalgo County Precinct 4 employee—Jorge Saldana-Gonzalez—was arrested in Edinburg at about 4 a.m. Sunday after a shooting at Sandra’s Bar on Saturday killed a woman, police said. KRGV

- ➤ Boca Chica Beach had bacteria levels 240 times above the EPA limit after recent floods blocked the natural flow of the Rio Grande—Marine Biologist Dr. Hudson Deyoe said the fast-growing Water Hyacinth plant kept wastewater and runoff from breaking down. The Texas General Land Office monitors coastal bacteria levels and noted that only Boca Chica was affected. KRGV
