- ➤ Brownsville Police said a teen riding his scooter was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of East 10th Street and McNair Family Drive at around 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, and officers assisted him as he was taken to a local hospital while the driver remained on scene to cooperate with investigators. - ➤ A 23-year-old man named Ruben Ray Martinez was fatally shot in an officer-involved shooting at the intersection of Marlin Street and Padre Boulevard on South Padre Island over the weekend—Texas Rangers are investigating the incident. FOX RGV
- ➤ The Texas Department of Public Safety identified 23-year-old Ruben Ray Martinez as the man fatally shot in an officer-involved shooting on South Padre Island last Saturday at 12:40 a.m. at the intersection of Padre Boulevard and Marlin Street—officials have not yet named the involved agency. - ➤ The San Benito Police Department is asking residents to help find 22-year-old Oscar Rodarte, wanted for a shooting on March 13 at the 1800 block of E. Business 77 in San Benito that left a 32-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds in critical condition — another suspect remains unknown. ValleyCentral
