  • An automotive parts company in Brownsville will lay off nearly 600 workers on April 30, with 345 at the Billy Mitchell plant, 183 at the Titan Distribution Center and 43 at the ASC facility.   • The South Texas Afghanistan Iraq Veterans Association (STAIVA) is offering free mental health sessions and peer support to military personnel and families in Brownsville who are anxious amid rising tensions with Iran.
