- ➤ Workforce Solutions Cameron's Brownsville center remained open after the city, county & Greater Brownsville Economic Development Corporation purchased its building for $2 million. The organization continued offering job and childcare services from its Old Alice Road office after a Feb. 12 ribbon cutting. MyRGV
- ➤ Cameron County will hold a public hearing on March 24 to consider tax abatements for Saronic’s proposed $3.2 billion Port Alpha shipyard — a project that could create 10,000 local jobs if built at the Port of Brownsville. Rio Grande Guardian
